We Have Help

I stand corrected; I wrote a post a few days ago about Easter and about sacrifices. A commenter wrote that the sacrifices we are faced with are training for the future and that God won’t allow what we can’t handle. Well they are right about that and that’s why I am going to write about sacrifices. Sin is unfortunately a very common thing in our lives and the worst past about that is that is separates us from God. In order to grow closer to God we must sacrifice this part of our lives, we must do our best to give up the sin that weighs us down. This can be extremely hard, it is a very great challenge to give up anything, but that is why the Bible says this “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13. I really like that verse, I like it because it is a promise from God. Many people get this idea that God is waiting around to catch us when we screw up, but this goes directly against us it says that God is going around to help us not screw up. Giving up a sinful part of our lives can be a great struggle it can even seem like torture at some point but we must remember that we are not alone in our struggle and that we always have God to back us up. Will we fail? Yes but we must try not to and we will always have help and God will always forgive us.
